About the Artist

Hello and thank you for your interest!

A little bit about me: I live in Niwot, Colorado, not far from Boulder and just a few miles from the foothills of the Rocky Mountain Front Range.

My indirect journey here has taken me all over the country, from my birthplace of Louisville, Kentucky to my first writing job in Manhattan, to Seattle where my children were born. I also did a stint freelancing in Munich, Germany. Each place brought me new joys, challenges, and sorrows, and deepened my urge to transform my life experiences and insights into art.

I’ve won a few poetry prizes over the years; a couple of those poems are included here. I’ve been published extensively in Ribbons, the journal of The Tanka Society of America. My 2026 summer plans include programs at the Lighthouse Writers Workshop in Denver, and at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. Down the road, my goal is to publish an anthology of my poetry.
